I’ve gotten six calls from the same mystery number for the past two days. I finally picked up the call a minute ago and the man on the other line informed me that he was from “(either Special, further, or continuing) Education” (I could not for the life of me figure out sort of education he was offering me) and he asked me what I would like to study.

At first I thought I had accidentally requested for more information from a grad school since I’ve been researching them lately, so I very sincerely told him that I have no idea what he was talking about.

“What education? Can you repeat that again?”

“WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO STUDY?”

“Study what?”

“[Silence] Do you want to go to school?”

“…I am in school.”

“Oh. Well have a good day.”

Maybe “Do you want to go to school?” might have been an appropriate question to ask someone for a specific season in their lives, but I was completely baffled and strangely took offense to it. I almost retorted, “Do I WANT to go to school?!?!” Maybe it’s time for a break.
